About Us

We are a group of enthusiastic, friendly people who get together every Tuesday for fellowship, fundraising for charity and community work.

We are a family friendly club and children are welcome at most of our socials.

We have been involved in various things to date, from assisting at the Party in the Park, to rattling tins for MacMillan Cancer Research at Tesco’s.

We have also organised a quiz including a raffle to raise money for Rushden Night Shelter.

A Christmas Quiz was sold for MIND, after they lost their offices in an arson attack.

Once a month we have a social. The kinds of socials we have include bowling, pub games, walks in the summer, BBQ’s, and anything you want to do, all ideas welcome.

If you are after something different, new members are always welcome. A few myths which need to be dispelled are as follows:

1. Rotary is an old men’s club! It is not an old men’s club: There are a few younger clubs starting up aimed at 30-55’s.

2. Commitment: You don’t have to attend every meeting, rattling a tin or attending another club goes towards your attendance, which is 50%.

3. Benefits: We meet for companionship/fellowship, have fun and do good works for the community and charity.

4. Don’t we have a meal every week: We only have 2 meals a month and this is optional.

If you are interested in coming along to see what we do, please see the contact us page.
